On the 4th June 2023 Steamrail visits the Sunbury Line in Melbourne's north east for heritage train shuttles between Watergardens and Sunbury. However this time around Steamrail spiced things up a bit with a rather unusual combination of the Tait electric multiple unit working together with steam locomotive A2 986 on the same train. The A2 led trips towards Sunbury while the Tait led trips towards Watergardens. The shuttles also marked the Tati's first trip to Sunbury carrying passengers since being restored.
We start the video at Yarraville where we see the transfer towards Flinders Street. Afterwards we see the six shuttle trips at;
1:11 Diggers Rest, shuttles 1 & 2
5:47 Sunbury, shuttles 3 & 4
10:17 Watergardens, shuttles 5 & 6
We finish the video at Seddon where we see the A2 lead the transfer back to Newport.
