James Manning and Charlotte Allin signed up for a week-long diving expedition in Komodo National Park. After resurfacing, they peer around for the dive boat. When they see the boat return, they shout and blow their whistles, but the boat doesn't seem to notice them. An hour later, the divers are shocked into silent horror as the boat speeds away, leaving them in the middle of the ocean. The group has been abandoned as the dive boat vanishes over the horizon, leaving this in one of the most dire survival situations one can be in.
