At the end of World War 2, there were a number of concentration camp guards who were executed for their terrible crimes. Adolf Speck worked inside of Neuengamme, and he was known for his brutality, and he was involved also in massacre and the torture that was carried out at the site. He had a fearsome reputation, and at the end of the Second World War was executed inside of Hamelin Prison by Albert Pierrepoint.
