Mini-maps. Love them or hate them, they are in a ton of games, and they are extremely useful. So much so that, oftentimes, turning them off isn't a viable option. In this video, I examine ways in which mini-maps are over-relied on in certain titles (The Witcher 3) as well as games that are designed in a way that don't really need any sort of navigational UI (Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring).
