This week's video is another follow-up, this time I'm back revisiting the bottle I threw earlier this year, only this time I'm trimming it, waxing it, glazing it, (badly), and reduction firing it to cone ten, some 1290ºC. I've needed a bottle shape in my repertoire of work for a while now, and in this film I also demonstrate how I occasionally use Photoshop to manipulate photographs of pots to very quickly create new versions — it's much faster than throwing them all on the wheel — and with this single vessel now made and fired, I've got a much clearer vision of the bottle I want to make in the future.
ALSO, I'm going to be updating my online shop on 24 November at 7:00 pm GMT, (https://www.floriangadsby.com/shop). This is my winter restock, it tends to sell out within 5-6 minutes, so make sure you're there on time if you are interested in obtaining something.
Thanks for watching!
