वजनी प्रमाण | Gram measurement
• तांदळाचे पीठ १/२ किलो | Rice flour ½ kilo
• बारीक रवा १/४ किलो | Semilona ¼ kilo
• पाणी - रवा भरेल त्याच्या दुप्पट | Water - double quantity of semolina
• मीठ १ टीस्पून | Salt 1tsp
• तूप / तेल / बटर २५ ग्राम | Ghee/ Oil / butter 25 gram
• मिरची पावडर २ टीस्पून | Red chilly pw 2tsp
• तीळ २ टेबलस्पून | Sesame 2tbsp
• ओवा १/२ टीस्पून | Carom Seeds ½ tsp
वाटीचे प्रमाणे | Cup Measurements
• तांदळाचे पीठ ४ कप | Rice Flour 4 Cups
• बारीक रवा २ कप | Semolina 2 cup
• पाणी ४ कप | Water 4 Cups
• मीठ १ टीस्पून | Salt 1tsp
• तूप / तेल / बटर - १/४ कप | Ghee / Oil / Butter ¼ cup
• मिरची पावडर २ टीस्पून | Red Chilly pw 2tsp
• तीळ २ टेबलस्पून | Sesame 2tbsp
• ओवा १/२ टीस्पून | Carom Seeds ½ tsp
How to make Crispy Chakali Recipe |
• heat up water into a kadhai, once water starts boiling add ghee, salt & sesame mix well
• Turn the flame to low & add semolina, mix it well & whisk well to make lumps free dough
• Once mixture gets lumps free, and semolina soaks the water & looks like dough like consistency, cover & cook it for 2-3 mins
• Then turn off the flame, take hot rava mixture into a parat or large plate
• When rava is hot to this add red chilly pw, carom seeds mix it well using a masher or spatula
• To this hot mixture add rice flour, mix together using a spatula & once it comes to bearable temp knead by hands
• While kneading, if required apply some water to the hand and knead the dough
• knead soft yet tight dough
• Once done, let it sit for 10 mins until it comes to room temp
• Take some dough, make a log, put this into chakali mould & make chakali
• Heat up oil into a kadhai for frying chakalis, once oil is medium hot drop the chakalis into the oil, keep the gas flame to medium
• Once you can see chakali holding shape, flip the chakalis & fry until crispy
• Fry remaining chakalis, once chakali comes at room temp, store it into an airtight container for a month,
