Let’s make a Japanese dish this time! Pork cutlet is also known as Tonkatsu. Pork cutlet is breaded with panko and then deep fried to get a nice crispy outside layer served with katsu sauce with shredded cabbage or rice.
I wanted to make a healthier version of the popular dish you might have tried at yummy Japanese restaurants, seen in anime's or in TV dramas! I made this recipe with an Air fryer, but feel free to deep fry it like the original way!
For the ones who don't have the katsu sauce at home which they normally serve it with. I will show you a very quick and easy way to make that sauce. You can adjust the flavor by experimenting with the ingredients. Let’s get started!
